These costumes counter female purity with hairy, leaking, biomorphic forms, juxtaposed with the flesh of unashamed feminine chaos. With particular focus on the Catholic Church’s ideals of purity, the work has also been recorded with 35mm photographic film which was initially immersed in female excrement to further challenge the status quo with an abject and monstrous aesthetic.
